Key Safety Principles

Maintain a safe following distance for the road conditions.
Use Creep Mode in parking lots and truck stops.
Avoid distracted driving.
Never impede traffic.
Clear your blind spots before changing lanes.
Control the trucks speed for conditions.
Never drive fatigued.
Get out and look (GOAL) before backing into something you can’t see.
Use 3 points of contact each time you enter and exit your vehicle, deck plate, and trailer.
Wear your seatbelt and/or the safety net if the truck is moving.
Do not drive under any obstruction unless you know your 13’ 6” equipment will fit.
Report all unsafe behavior.
Inspect equipment before, during and after every driving shift.
Never use alcohol or drugs while driving.

Key On-Time Principles

Communicate effectively with your team.
Always do a proper trip-plan.
When possible, run ahead of schedule and pickup or deliver early.
Take care of your health and make sure to get good rest.
Use your Macros, let your team know how the trip is going so they can best support you.
Make sure your equipment is in good order and pay it forward by reporting damaged equipment.
